The collection contains business correspondence (outgoing and incoming) from noted persons including Henry W. Corbett, Zenas F. Moody, James W. Nesmith, Sylvester Pennoyer, and George E. Chamberlain. Portions of these letters offer personal accounts of early missionary experiences in the Willamette Valley. Additional genealogical materials on the Hill, Chandler, Lair, and Heald families are located in the genealogical vertical files in the library.
